Most people have never heard of strontium, which is surprising, considering that strontium is one of the most abundant elements in the earth's crust—even more abundant than carbon. It is the most abundant trace element in sea water as well. It is all around us and inside of us.

Close to calcium on the periodic table, and chemically similar to calcium, it is believed that strontium plays an important role in the body, helping to draw calcium into bones, and serving to add strength to bones, teeth, and other tissues.  Strontium supplementation may help the body fight osteoporosis, tooth decay, and research done by the Bone and Cartilage Metabolism Research Unit, University Hospital, Liege, Belgium, suggests that it may also stimulate the production of cartilage, which shows promise for use in fighting certain forms of arthritis.  We look forward to the results of tests to that end. 

Strontium Strong™ is not Strontium-90

During the 1950s, nuclear weapons were tested in our atmosphere, and one by-product of those tests was strontium-90, a dangerous, radiotactive component of nuclear fallout.  Strontium-90 was found to have contaminated dairy and other products that were subsequently ingested by humans.  The result was a buildup of radioactive strontium-90 in the bones of many adults and children.  The strontium in Strontium Strong™ should not be confused with strontium-90.  Strontium Strong™ contains only natural, clean strontium. 

NOTE: This product should be taken two hours before or two hours after consumption of calcium products, in order to avoid interfering with the absorption of calcium.
